New Balance.

Jun 27, 2015

Have I mentioned my two favorite colors to wear are black and blue? It's hard to miss that hint in this outfit. I would say that these two colors are of the most flattering for anyone to wear. I'm getting ready to go out to Chicago and decided to fit in a last post before I board the plane. I figured this outfit was appropriate for this is something I would wear on a day exploring the windy city.

The outfit is chic, yet simple. That is something I always look to achieve. Something comfortable and easy to maneuver in because I totally hate being uncomfortable. Up top, I'm sporting a black t-shirt and blue worn-out flannel from H&M. My jeans are super stretchy and legging-like from Forever 21, along with my whistle necklace. The sneakers are definitely one of my all time favorites--New Balance 420. The color scheme is just way too lovable. A hint if pink is never wrong!

Well, off to Chicago! Updates to come! xo

Bob

Jun 25, 2015

What better to start off the summer than with a new haircut! With all the "it-girl" bloggers sporting long and short bob's, it is hard not to get yourself down to the salon and get one yourself! I've always been the type to have super short hair (since childhood), and I have always thought it was the most hideous style in the world; however, all the bloggers are making it look damn cute. So I gathered a bit of hair inspo for my new column, "What I'm Lovin' Wednesday" and I'm excited to share with you my first post. This month, I'm in love with the "LOB".

Tune in next Wednesday to see What I'm Lovin'. xo

Trench Coat

Jun 23, 2015

Thank the heavens! The LA June gloom is finally gone and summer is here! It's really starting to feel like how a real summer should feel. Although I'm not an advocate for hot weather, I'm actually really excited. Summer means many things: longer days, beach days, warm nights and so much more. It is all fun and games for three whole months. (At least for us college students, it is!) Enjoying some fun months in the sun while I can before slaving back to school to work on some essays this fall!

In this easy-breezy look, I'm sporting a simple black cut-out shirt with some boyfriend-fit jeans. I topped it off with an amazing short trench coat my sister had bought from Zara awhile ago. (I love stealing her clothes! That's what sister are for, right?) I slipped on some leather loafers and my black Liebeskind crossbody. You know how I love cross body bags! Last but not least, every Southern Californian's favorite accessory--sunglasses. A simple look, yet super classy for a nice day out and about.

Chicago is on my list this summer. What are your big plans? xo

Crossbody Bag Fever.

currently craving - crossbody bags
One of my all time favorite fashion trends is without a doubt, the crossbody bag. It is the perfect blend of cute, casual and sometimes fancy. I am not the type of girl who stores her whole life in a purse, so the crossbody happens to be the perfect size for all my little knick-knacks. So here I go, sharing my new most coveted cross bodybags!

What are your favorites? xo

Retrospect

Jun 16, 2015

I was feeling a bit nostalgic the other day and decided to rummage through piles of old photos. I stumbled upon many pictures of my mom looking trendy and stylish. It was definitely a blast to the past, but it all looked so oddly familiar. As I flipped, I kept thinking to myself, "I would totally wear that." Little did I know, those are all the same trends that are circling our blogs and fashion shows today. Bell bottoms, high waisted jeans and shorts, oversized everything. Paper isn't the only thing we are recycling these days; you can add fashion trends to that pile as well. While admiring my fashionable mother, all I could think about was that my mom should have kept all of that stuff for me!

With that in mind, I put together a little throwback look for a summer in Los Angeles. I paired high-waisted bell bottom jeans with a vertical striped blouse. Can't forget the wedges! I am a strong believer in wedges paired with bell bottoms. On top of that, I sported by black Liebeskind cross body and my handy dandy aviators.

You can always find inspiration in whatever you do! So get up, get out and get inspired! xo

Delicate jewels are always a great addition to a light look.

God, a tiny part of me is going to miss living in SoCal. As much as I want to get out of here, I can't help but admit I will definitely miss the weather. Really, the only city where you can where a turtle neck and shorts.. seriously. But time comes and you have to experience a new adventure every once in awhile--alone. It's good to get out of your comfort zone, and this is my first real experience away from anything and everyone I ever knew. It's going to be a new shock, but definitely good for me.

NorCal's gloominess is going to be something that I will have to warm up to. I'm used to wearing sandals and shorts, ripped jeans and tanks, just everything summery. Although i've never been the type to rule out some good boots and a thick parka either. With this look, I try to embody as much of the easy-going SoCal image as best as I can. We are all about simplicity and comfort all with a big splash of style--or at least I am. It's breezy for a hot afternoon in LA, but perfect for a chilly morning. (You know how bipolar this LA weather is.) So always remember that if you're coming to LA, bring a sweater with your shorts.

ps- I've had so many outfit photos that I haven't posted on the blog for awhile now. We all know i've been super lazy lately per my last blog post, but now i've gotta treat this a little more seriously. The meaning of being committed to something is putting in your time and effort into whatever it is. Obviously, i'm not very good at that type of thing.. but if not now, then I will never have time to do it. It's summer and i'm seriously not doing much these days. So, it's time to turn up the motivation and post away! You'll be seeing a lot more of me very very soon.. ;)

Bucket List: No. 1

Jun 1, 2015

Oh, it's been a long month of just pure busy and, at the same time, lazy days. May was just a whirlwind of random happenings, a lot of different events to plan for and just tons of drama. And might I add, thank God that it's finally over. I'm getting ready for a crazy and super exciting month for this June and right now, all I can do is try to mentally prepare myself for all that's about to happen. Trips every weekend, lots of planning and there will definitely be some blog updating. Of course, I will be chronicling by fun weekend trips on my instagram (@littledinh_), so make sure to follow along. It's going to be one hell of a summer kick-off!

While I am mentally preparing myself for adventure, I pinned some inspo photos to share with you all. Right now, i'm just so obsessed with different cities and countries I want to explore some day. Not only does Pinterest make every photo look absolutely amazing, but some places are those that I have always dreamt of going to. I hope that one day, my career will take me to amazing places to explore places I have never seen. I truly believe that one has not experienced life until they have travelled the world. It really opens your eyes to things many things unseen, uncovering the sad truth about things we have never known.

1. Tulum, Mexico
Apparently I've been here when I was younger, but it's nothing if you're not traveling these destinations with your best girlfriends or even with your boyfriend. These caves, beaches and the history is definitely worth the second trip. Bring a suit!

2. Mykonos, Greece
The beauty of Greece lies in the architecture and beaches. When I think of Greece, I see white and blue buildings or Mamma Mia! A big plus is that you can island hop. You can keep your itinerary open and explore so many different islands. Don't forget to watch Mamma Mia for some inspiration and look out for the Pierce Brosnan "Dad-Bod"!

3. Amangiri Resort @ Canyon Point, Utah
Ever since Tula Rosa and Revolve Clothing took all of my favorite bloggers to this remote resort in the middle of Utah, I made it a life dream to go here. This resort is everything and more! The quietness is exactly what you need for a relaxing week away and the resort is just as amazing. (Or at least it looks amazing.) It's truly wonderful how in the middle of a dry desert, there is a piece of modern art--which is the Amangiri Resort.

4. Bali, Indonesia
Bali truly has always been a life long dream. I have been to Asia many times in my life, however we never seem to make it to this little island. The beaches are gorgeous, the temples are mesmerizing and everything about it just seems so perfect. Not to mention it is a cheap destination, making it super affordable for broke college students like myself.

5. Lake Louise, Canada
Last year, my friend planned a backpacking trip through Lake Louise and it was so beautiful. I've never been a fan of camping or backpacking, but that had changed my mind. (In my opinion, I prefer indoor plumbing.) The water is clear and the air is fresh and crisp. Definitely an adventure in my to-do list.

A girl can only dream..
