Inspired by Jules.

Feb 28, 2015

Sincerely, Jules is one of my biggest inspirations in the fashion/blogging world. I love her effortless, but chic daily style. Also, her travel diaries are just bits and pieces of my dream life. Being all over the world and enjoying delicacies all over the world are a dream come true. I can go on about her, but I'm actually here to share my version of her "Easy Breezy" look.

Leather + Ripped Denim

Feb 19, 2015

One of my current obsessions? Ripped knee denim! They really match with everything! Especially since the weather has been a bit gloomy, I'm allowed to wear black! (Black IS one the most flattering colors!) But with this weather comes the dilemma of deciding what to wear!

I matched my ripped denim (which I cut myself) with a red flannel and a nice leather jacket to top it off. To give my skin some breathing room, I opted to wear my Birkenstocks instead of shoes or boots! Only in California can you wear winter clothes with sandals!

hint of valentine's day.

Feb 12, 2015

With Valentine's Day approaching around the corner, it is the perfect time to incorporate hints of red in your everyday outfits! If anything, it is a great excuse to wear those sexy red pumps, or maybe your Louboutins. (Swoon!) Everyone is probably racking their brains for crazy date ideas! Especially with so many companies and brands hosting new events, it's kind of hard not to love it anymore! Starbucks is doing an event for lovers and having set up menus for couples/valentines to order off of. Some locations might even have photo booths, just for the fun of it! Many other bloggers are posting their best tips for dates and ideas that your significant other would love! I've never been the type of girl to love Valentine's Day too much or wear a lot of red, so I found a way to mix the best of both worlds. Both worlds as in the date, presents AND wearing red.

I am a huge fan of neutral colors, so my way of showing a little bit of Valentine's Day spirit is adding a pop of red. Wearing a white GAP button-up and white ankle-cut skinny jeans, I topped it off with a Red Chanel Boy Bag. I paired it with block heels from Forever21 and sunglasses from Ann Taylor LOFT. It was simple, yet still had a little bit of life to it!

What are YOU doing with your valentine!?

All black everything.

Feb 8, 2015

Some days you just feel a little more gloomy than others. But it's not necessarily a bad thing, because it give me a reason to wear all black from head to toe! The colors that flatter most everyone--black, white and gray. Especially since the weather in SoCal has been quite strange and bipolar, it has been especially hard getting dressed for the right weather. Mornings are extremely foggy and days are sunny and bright! (People are wondering why I'm complaining about sunny days in February..)

For this bipolar day that turned out especially nice and bright, I decided to let my morning gloom take over and wear my leather jacket for a change. Underneath, I decided to go for a more comfy approach layering a long, black tunic over a pair of black leggings from Urban Outfitters and Forever 21, respectively. My leather jacket with fold-over flaps (one of my all time favorites), from bebe goes with everything! And I think everyone should definitely have one of those jackets. They're like jean jackets! To top it off, I went a little summery and wore my Target sandals.

It was a bit of a bipolar day, but it justified my outfit even more. Yay for summery SoCal winters!

Cargo Lovin'.

Feb 3, 2015

My new obsession? My cargo skinnys and let me tell you--they go so well with almost everything! I mean, what a great addition to any closet! It is the perfect touch to add a little edge to any outfit, even if you are trying to go with a conservative or an all out, badass rocker look. The best part about this is also that you don't even have to buy a super expensive pair for them to look top notch!

I paired this look with a black oversized cardigan. (Something I'm also obsessed with at the moment? Oversized everything!) Around the waist is a gold-accented black belt. With my cargo pants, I matched a pair of brown Franco Sarto ankle boots. Another alternative when it got hotter was changing into my leather slip-ons. (Also another new favorite!) And when you hair isn't cooperating too, throw it in a low bun and problem is solved!

What will you put together with your cargo pants?
